PA12’s moisture absorption is only 0.9% maximum (10x lower than PA6/PA66), with melting point of 178-180°C and continuous service temperature up to 130°C short-term. PA12 has a semi-crystalline structure with lower amide group density. Maximum moisture absorption is only 0.9% vs 6-9% for PA6 and PA66. At 50% relative humidity, PA12 absorbs just 0.4% moisture. This makes PA12 ideal for underwater, marine, and humid environment applications.
